Shipping policy
At Craftica, we do not operate a conventional mass-manufacturing warehouse, nor do we store thousands of pre-printed items sitting on dusty shelves. Mass retail relies on a deeply flawed system of overproduction: factories churn out massive bulk lots of articles blindly, and when styles don't sell, millions of tons of pristine, unbought inventory are systematically shredded, burned, or dumped into landfills across the globe every year.
We have fundamentally rejected that model.
Craftica operates on a precise, intentional Print-on-Demand (POD) infrastructure. This means your selected article does not physically exist until the exact moment your payment is verified. Only then does our facility initiate fabrication—bringing the design to life on raw materials uniquely for you.
- The Reward: Every transaction completely eliminates structural warehouse waste, limits chemical run-off, and ensures you receive a freshly cured, bespoke item crafted specifically on your command.
- The Trade-off: Because we build your article from scratch after you order, we require a 2 to 7 business-day production window before tracking numbers are generated. We do not participate in impulse-driven, instantaneous logistics; we curate intentional, low-waste products worth waiting for.
1. Payment Integration & Our Fixed Non-COD Structure
To maintain absolute logistical integrity, ensure a stable supply chain, and fulfill our corporate environmental mandates, Craftica operates on a strict, exclusively prepaid framework. We accept all verified domestic payment methods, including UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, and Secure Wallets. We do not offer Cash on Delivery (COD).
Across the Indian e-commerce landscape, Cash on Delivery options suffer from a catastrophic industry-average Return-To-Origin (RTO) rate of 26% to 35%. This means nearly one out of every three COD packages sent by D2C brands is a "half-assed" transaction—bouncing back due to unverified address fields, localized delivery evasion, or impulse ordering where buyers refuse payment at the door. When a delivery fails, the physical article must be turned around and hauled back across state lines to the production hub, doubling the carbon footprint and wasting critical fuel.
2. The Compounding Damage of COD: Scale & Real-World Reality
To comprehend why we legally revoke the COD feature, look at the systemic damage caused by these avoidable returns across India, and how a small brand's metrics scale up to real-world degradation:
-
The Individual Waste Loop: A single custom article shipped from a production center and returned to origin due to a doorstep rejection travels an unnecessary average loop of 1,100 kilometers.
- The Car Equivalent: Forcing a commercial courier vehicle to execute this failed multi-state loop burns the same amount of fuel as driving a standard petrol passenger car continuously for 22 kilometers.
- The Cigarette Pollutant: The reverse-transit exhaust gases release a concentrated payload of particulate matter and carbon pollutants identical to lighting up and smoking 180 commercial cigarettes directly into the atmosphere.
- The Macro Damage (The actual math of the problem): If an emerging brand processes just 500 COD transactions a month and hits the standard 26% RTO failure rate, 130 packages turn into phantom ghost shipments every single month. Over one fiscal year, those 1,560 failed deliveries force vehicles to drive over 1.7 Lakh unnecessary kilometers—equivalent to driving a passenger car across the length of India fifty times.
By eliminating COD, Craftica cleanly severs this cycle of structural waste. Every order placed with us is intentional, validated, and backed by a committed customer. Your article moves precisely once—cutting out unnecessary vehicle emissions, preventing empty highway transit and decreasing traffic.
3. Production Cycles & Delivery Operations
Because each article is uniquely printed just for you, Craftica does not maintain pre-manufactured bulk inventories.
- Processing Timelines: Standard manufacturing, quality screening, and curing require 2 to 7 business days prior to package dispatch.
- Address Requirements: It is the customer's legal responsibility to provide a complete, verifiable address, including a valid house/plot number, street name, locality, landmarks, and a functioning 6-digit PIN code. Craftica cannot be held liable for misdelivery or transit delays resulting from inaccurate address data.
- Serviceability Bounds: In rare scenarios where a third-party courier service flags a specific PIN code as non-serviceable after checkout, we reserve the right to immediately cancel the transaction and issue a full refund to the source payment method.
